Ballon d’Or 2025 : Les 30 nominés dévoilés
The official list of 30 nominees for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, rewarding the best footballer of the 2024-2025 season, was unveiled this Thursday, August 7 by France Football, via the L'Équipe website and app.
With no major international tournaments this summer, club performances, particularly in the Champions League and the Club World Cup, dominate the criteria. Among the favorites, Ousmane Dembélé (PSG) stands out after a historic hat-trick (Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Champions League) with 37 goals and 14 assists. Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), 17, is a serious contender with 18 goals, 25 assists and a Liga-Copa del Rey double. Raphinha (Barcelona), with 34 goals and 25 assists, and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), architect of the Premier League title, are also in the running, despite disappointing European runs. Vitinha (PSG) and Nuno Mendes (PSG) are gaining ground, boosted by their performances at club level and in the Nations League with Portugal.
Other likely names include Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), despite a title-less season, Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Désiré Doué (PSG), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) and Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona).
