Diamaguéne Sicap Mbao: 2 dealers d'ecstasy arrêtés par la police

Police officers from the Diamaguéne Sicap-Mbao district police station have put an end to the activities of two dealers who were selling ecstasy on a Jakarta motorcycle. B. Seydi, a mechanic living in Thiaroye, and M. Touré, a driver living in Lansar, were arrested for offering and selling ecstasy, amounting to 10 tablets.

Anonymous information exploited

The arrest of these suspects follows the exploitation of anonymous information revealing the existence of a vast drug trafficking network, particularly ecstasy commonly known as "volet".

The source reported that two male individuals were distributing the prohibited product on a Jakarta motorcycle in the area.

Successful surveillance operation

Armed with this information, a surveillance device was deployed around the Diacksao OLA station. After a few minutes of waiting, the search team spotted a KTM motorcycle with two individuals on board, perfectly matching the description provided by the source.

The police immediately arrested them.

A thorough search resulted in the discovery of a red plastic bag containing ten ecstasy tablets hidden under the motorcycle seat. A sum of 7,000 CFA francs was also found on B. Seydi, likely representing the proceeds from their sales.

Full confessions from the suspects

When questioned by investigators, the accused admitted the facts without hesitation, thus facilitating the legal proceedings.

The drugs, the sum of money, and the motorcycle were taken to the police station for safekeeping. The two suspects were subsequently taken into custody.

Referral to court

Following the investigation conducted by the Diamaguéne Sicap-Mbao district police station, the two suspects were brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court on Wednesday to answer for their actions.

This arrest demonstrates the effectiveness of law enforcement in the fight against drug trafficking and the importance of citizen cooperation in reporting suspicious activities.
