Karang : T. Camara dissimulait dans des cachettes sophistiquées la drogue de ses clients de Saly Portudal et des Almadies
A young man named T. Camara (27 years old) was arrested this Tuesday in Karang (border with Gambia) by the Fatick brigade of OCRTIS in possession of a large quantity of various drugs. Placed in custody at the central police station in the capital of Sine, he will be brought before the prosecutor "in the coming hours," according to L'Observateur, which gave the information in its Thursday edition.
According to the account in the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group, T. Camara was returning from a country in the sub-region. During a routine check, the newspaper reports, the police discovered in various places in the vehicle he was driving "290 amphetamine pills kept in a mayonnaise bottle," 100 other pills of the same drug "kept in a bottle of body lotion," and "a bag of crystalline methamphetamine, known as crystal meth, weighing 400 grams, buried in a bottle of powdered milk."
Camara quickly confessed, according to the same source, who pointed out that the accused is from Ourossogui, in Matam. L'Observateur reports that T. Camara revealed that the drugs "were intended for clients established in Saly Portudal, Mbour, Dakar (Almadies). Furthermore, the trafficker confided that the market value of the drugs intended for VIPs in the aforementioned cities is 50 million CFA francs."
