Mbour : Les fortes pluies coupent la circulation entre Nianing et Gandiol
In the Mbour department, the bridge connecting Nianing to Gandiol collapsed this Thursday morning due to heavy rains. The collapse of this infrastructure completely cut off traffic between the two towns, thus isolating the population.
Residents of the Nianing–Gandiol axis find themselves in a difficult situation, especially on the eve of the August 15 holiday, a period of peak tourist influx in the area. According to weather forecasts, if the rainfall continues, the situation could worsen further.
Residents and users of this route are calling on local authorities to intervene quickly to restore the passage and secure the bridge, in order to allow normal traffic and ensure the safety of the population and visitors.
