Fallou Dieng & le DLC is not competing with Youssou N'Dour, Baba Maal or anyone else. They are all big brothers to Fallou and it is because of them that Senegalese music is where it is today. Fallou is simply following in their footsteps to continue the good work that these masters have started. Fallou Dieng & le DLC have represented Senegal and Senegalese music by giving excellent performances at every venue they have performed at in the US and Canada. Each festival has been impressed and very satisfied with their representation of their country. These performances have opened the door for Fallou Dieng & le DLC to perform at The Hollywood Bowl sharing top billing with the Grammy award winning Gnarls Barkley. Fallou Dieng & le DLC are now taking Mbalax another step forward in the World Music arena. Be proud for your country, your music and your musicians.
I am very proud of the author. I love too see people that make useful comments to educate others. As you said, Fallou is trying to get to the next level. It's not about competition. it's all about ambition.
Why can't we all work together?
Fallou is ambitious, repectful and hard-working. Let's all support him. I strongly believe that he will be the next Senegalese superstar worldwide. His music is great, and his personnality is even better.
