In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Real Madrid striker revisited his political stances during the 2024 parliamentary elections. Kylian Mbappé firmly defended the right of athletes to express themselves: "We must fight this idea that a footballer should just play and keep quiet. Even if you're a football player, you're first and foremost a citizen."
The French international reaffirmed his concern about the National Rally (RN) coming to power, stating: "I know what it means and what consequences it can have for my country when people like them come to power."
