"Elles ne participeront pas" : Les "menaces" de Donald Trump à l’approche des JO de Los Angeles

It's common knowledge. Under the Trump administration, the United States recognizes only two sexes: male and female. The gender X assigned to people who identify as non-binary has been abolished. Participants in the upcoming Los Angeles Olympics will have to comply with this new situation. In any case, the American president doesn't intend to hold back.

"I think very rigorous tests will be carried out."

Asked Tuesday about recent scandals related to gender identity in sports, the White House tenant announced very rigorous testing, particularly on female athletes.

"I think very strict tests will be carried out. And if the results are not satisfactory, they will not participate in the Olympic Games," said the US commander-in-chief.

Although he did not specify what type of testing would be applied, he made clear his intention to implement "very rigorous" measures to ensure, in his words, "the integrity and safety" of women's sport.

"The United States will not let men steal women's trophies at the 2028 Olympics," the real estate mogul assured.

The Khelif and Yu-Ting cases

The controversial participation of boxers Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting in the last Paris Olympics is not to be forgotten. The International Boxing Association (IBA), which is not recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), questions their gender, claiming that they have high testosterone levels and carry XY chromosomes, which, according to it, disqualify them from women's competitions.

IOC-backed female boxers have repeatedly stated that they are not transgender athletes.
