As part of the traditional courtesy visit prior to the Grand Magal of Touba, Mr. Mouhamadou Kabir Diop led the delegation of Sénégal Numérique SA on behalf of the Director General, Mr. Isidore Diouf.

The delegation was received by the General Caliph of the Mourides, who offered prayers for the success of the mission entrusted to Sénégal Numérique. Serigne Mountakha Mbacké praised and praised the technological tools deployed by the company before, during, and after the Magal.

Following this audience, the delegation went to the Khadimou Rassoul Residence, where it was received by the spokesperson of the General Caliph, also President of the Grand Magal Organizing Committee, Serigne Bassirou Abdou Khadre Mbacké. The latter, in turn, offered prayers for all members of the delegation, while emphasizing the importance of the efforts made by Sénégal Numérique SA, both in terms of connectivity and security, particularly through the installation of surveillance cameras.

Upon leaving the residence, Secretary General Mouhamadou Kabir Diop expressed his gratitude:

I would like to thank, on behalf of the Director General of Sénégal Numérique SA, Mr. Isidore Diouf, the General Caliph, Serigne Cheikh Mouhamadoul Mountakha Bassirou Mbacké, as well as his spokesperson, Serigne Bassirou Abdou Khadre, for the warm welcome and the prayers offered to us.

We came to seek the blessings of the religious leader, but also to present to him the entire system put in place in Touba in preparation for the Magal. This includes the Wi-Fi access points installed in various locations throughout the city, around the Great Mosque, as well as within the Residence itself.

Surveillance cameras have also been deployed to strengthen security and enable the defense and security forces to better protect people and their property. The Director General has given me clear instructions to further strengthen this system compared to the previous year, and we have already taken the necessary steps to ensure that the faithful can celebrate the Magal in the best conditions,” he told the media.

True to its commitments, Sénégal Numérique also distributed a significant quantity of water to several religious authorities in Touba and plans to do the same to pilgrims during the busy days of the Magal.
