Forum AFRITECH : Omar Dioum prône une « souveraineté de l’esprit » pour la réussite numérique de l’Afrique
At the AFRITECH Forum organized by the Ministry of Economic and Social Development (MDES), Omar Dioum, CEO of FBN Bank Senegal, made a strong impression with a powerful presentation focused on human capital. According to him, the continent's digital sovereignty rests first and foremost on a psychological shift and confident leadership.
Speaking in Wolof to connect more closely with stakeholders in the ecosystem, Omar Dioum emphasized a message of confidence and self-determination. According to him, technology is merely the tool for an ambition that must first and foremost be mental: "Sovereignty does not begin with technology, but with the mind," he asserted.
The head of FBN Bank Senegal called for "demystifying success" on the continent, emphasizing that there are no "supermen" and that success is within reach of all who dare to believe in it. By advocating for inspiration and knowledge transfer, Omar Dioum positions personal conviction as the primary driver of the major technological transformations to come for Africa.
