Ordinateurs portables offerts par les Usa : La décision du PJF après les alertes des services du Renseignement
In a written question, Guy Marius Sagna expressed concern about a donation of IT equipment from the United States Embassy to the Financial Judicial Pool (Pjf). He said accepting the donation would undermine the country's "digital sovereignty" and "threaten national security." Justice Minister Yassine Fall has spoken out on the matter.
She explained, in her response to the MP, that it was by letter No. unodc/Ada/Kraj/2088/2025 of June 24, 2025, that the head of the Regional Office for West and Central Africa contacted them. The structure informed the then Minister of Justice of a donation of thirty laptops that the organization intended to make to the Financial Judicial Pool (Pjf).
The laptops were examined by the DDA
Ms. Fall added that the acquisition of this computer equipment was made possible thanks to the support of the Bureau of International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement (Inl) of the United States Department of State.
To reassure the MP, the Minister of Justice indicated that this equipment, received on June 24, 2025, "was examined by the Department of Dematerialization and Automation (Dda) of the Ministry of Justice, which did not detect any suspicious elements on the computers."
However, after numerous warnings, the Financial Judicial Pool decided to do without them: "Having received warnings from certain state structures, notably the National Intelligence Delegation (DNR), the PJF officials preferred not to use these machines," adds Yassine Fall in his response.
