Musique : Soda Diom, la virtuose de la guitare, attendue pour un méga concert ce 11 avril
Singer-songwriter Soda Diom needs no introduction in the Senegalese music scene. After writing some of the most beautiful songs for the "Jigeen Ni" orchestra, the soloist decided to fly solo by creating her own musical group, with which she has brilliantly established herself.
Endorsed by the late guitarist Jimmy Mbaye, her talent is universally acclaimed. She is among the few female guitarists in the country to maintain such a regular and prominent stage presence. A graduate of the National School of Arts and Cultural Professions, Soda Diom honed her craft under the tutelage of renowned specialists, such as Adolphe Coly, who trained her in vocal and musical techniques.
The artist is now expected on stage this April 11th at Place de l'Obélisque for a mega-concert with her orchestra. In an exclusive interview with Seneweb, the soloist looks back on her beginnings and reveals her ambitions for the future of her career.
