The national daily newspaper reports that this process, required by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Senegal's aeronautical regulations (RAS), aims to ensure that the airport's infrastructure and operations comply with safety standards for international flights.
The audit will cover operational procedures, the Safety Management System (SMS), the aerodrome manual, as well as the functioning of infrastructure and the quality of services, the same source details. According to Mamadou Diagne, Secretary General of Limak-Aid-Summa, the airport operator, quoted by Le Soleil, this audit reflects their commitment to guaranteeing safety, security, and excellence in operations.
