Construction de logements : Le Pr. Diomaye demande l'accélération du programme
At the Council of Ministers this Wednesday, President Diomaye Faye stressed that access to decent and affordable housing remains a major concern for our compatriots. He therefore asked the Prime Minister "to take all appropriate measures and arrangements to accelerate the implementation of housing construction programs across the national territory."
The Head of State also instructed the Government to ensure preventive control of access to land, through the increased action of the Land Development and Urban Restructuring Company (Safru) and the complementary development of new innovative projects by Sn Hlm and Sicap Sa.
Furthermore, he urged the Secretary of State for Housing to ensure better supervision of housing development and construction projects initiated by housing cooperatives. This includes ensuring systematic monitoring of the construction of various roads and networks, collective facilities, and their consistency with the construction of major public infrastructure.
The President of the Republic also emphasized, according to the Council of Ministers' press release, the importance of stepping up the implementation of housing programs in the regions, particularly in university centers. He even asked the Prime Minister to hold an interministerial council on housing in the near future.
