Fièvre de la vallée du Rift : 1,3 milliard CFA mobilisé pour la riposte (Ministre)
The response is intensifying against the rapid spread of Rift Valley fever, which has already claimed 11 lives out of 78 confirmed cases. Faced with this growing threat, the government has devised a coordinated strategy with multisectoral actions led by the relevant ministerial departments. Thus, beyond the management of confirmed cases as well as contacts likely to develop and spread the disease, a vast livestock vaccination operation (the virus vector) is being organized and will be reinforced, according to the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock, Mabouba Diagne.
"We have deployed a joint crisis strategy, involving all ministerial services, the territorial administration and the population to combat the disease," he declared this Saturday, at the end of a regional development committee (CRD) dedicated to the development of a response strategy against Rift Valley fever, in the presence of his counterpart, Minister of Health, Ibrahima Sy and the governor of the Louga region, Ndèye Nguénar Mbodj.
Mabouba Diagne, quoted by APS, praised the "commitment" and "determination" of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, who have mobilized an envelope of "1.3 billion CFA francs to support the fight operations."
The Minister of Livestock urged farmers to "immediately report" any suspected cases to veterinary services to enable rapid intervention. At the same time, he announced increased surveillance of livestock transhumance corridors to break the chains of virus transmission.

Vous savez bien que s ils disent injecter 2 Milliards, un milliard ira dans les poches..
Les moutons vous verrez.
Trop de paradoxes dans leur manière de faire.
