Brighton : Abdallah Sima va s'engager avec le RC Lens
Abdallah Sima, who was not named by national coach Pape Thiaw in the list of 26 players selected for the 7th and 8th rounds of World Cup qualifying, is about to change clubs. The Senegalese striker, loaned last season by Brighton to Stade Brestois, is expected to join RC Lens. As announced this Wednesday by several French media outlets, the northern club has activated the Senegalese international's trail to compensate for the scheduled departure of Morgan Guilavogui.
Sima's profile particularly appeals to the Lens coaching staff. The winger, still under contract with Brighton, is coming off an interesting season at Brest, where he scored 12 goals (including 3 in the Champions League) and provided 2 assists in 40 matches across all competitions.
With his experience in Ligue 1 (12 goals and 4 assists in 61 matches) but also on the European scene (26 matches, 10 goals), Sima will strengthen the Blood and Gold attack. According to our information, an agreement has been reached with Brighton for a transfer estimated at €4.5 million plus bonuses. Lens will thus buy out the final year of the contract of the versatile 24-year-old striker, capable of playing across the entire offensive front. He is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Artois club. A new adventure in prospect which could allow him to quickly return to the national team.

Un attaquant qui ne m'a jamais convaincu en équipe nationale du Sénégal. Il a toujours été très transparent en sélection. Je dirais que c'est plus un joueur de club pas de sélection nationale.
