Finale Sénégal - Maroc : Ce que l'arbitre Jean-Jacques Ndala a écrit dans son rapport (Le Monde)
Jean-Jacques Ngambo Ndala, the referee of the Senegal - Morocco match (1-0), was one of the major players in the incidents that occurred during the final of the 2025 AFCON. His post-match report, consulted by Le Monde, could prove decisive in the decision that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will make.
According to Le Monde, Jean-Jacques Ndala's report states that "in the 97th minute, there was a temporary stoppage in play […] After approximately twelve minutes, play resumed." No forfeits are mentioned in this document, which also confirms the Senegalese team's victory on the field.
However, the CAF disciplinary committee did not dwell on this report when making its controversial decision to award the victory to Morocco by default, preferring the provisions of article 82 and 82 of its regulations.
