The Urban Security Unit of the Kolda Central Police Station arrested a Nigerian national on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, suspected of arranging for a fellow Nigerian to travel to Senegal for sexual exploitation. The case, revealed by the victim herself, illustrates a human trafficking network operating between Nigeria and Senegal. The public prosecutor at the Kolda High Court has been informed and an investigation has been opened.

It all began on May 19, 2026, when Uche Ujunwa, 24 years old, a Nigerian national and sex worker residing in the Zone Lycée neighborhood of Kolda, went to the central police station to report the actions of her exploiter.

In her official statement, she revealed that a woman named Abigail had organized and financed her trip from Nigeria to Senegal, at a cost of 2,500,000 FCFA. In return, she was forced into prostitution to repay the money.

After paying off her debt in full, the victim claims that Abigail continued to threaten her, demanding an alleged outstanding balance of 500,000 FCFA and threatening to resort to mystical practices to intimidate her. Cornered, she decided to contact the police.

Based on this report, a mission was immediately assigned to the police's Criminal Investigation Unit. Around 4:00 PM, the suspect was located and taken to the police station. She was formally identified as Abigail Saturday, 27 years old, a prostitute residing in the Zone Lycée neighborhood of Kolda, in the same area as her victim.

Under questioning, Abigail Saturday admitted to all the charges against her. She confirmed that she had financed the victim's trip from Nigeria and acknowledged that the victim was required, in return, to engage in prostitution to repay the agreed-upon sum. She also maintained that the victim still owed her 500,000 FCFA and admitted to having attempted to intimidate her to obtain this payment, according to Seneweb sources.

The public prosecutor at the Kolda High Court was informed, and an investigation was opened. Abigail Saturday is being prosecuted for human trafficking, sexual exploitation, quackery, and pimping.

je croyais qu'il y avait que la traite négrière des toubabs. Je vois que les "NOIRS" continuent à pratquer comme ils l'ont toujours fait
