The Keur Massar research brigade dismantled a fraud ring on Thursday, September 4, 2025, operating under the name "Qnet Infinity Millenials" in Niacoulrap. It primarily targeted foreign nationals. This fraudulent network used particularly pernicious methods to trap its victims by offering them jobs, thus exploiting their vulnerability and their legitimate hopes of socioeconomic integration.
The modus operandi was well-established: once the victims were lured by these fake job opportunities, they were forced to pay the sum of 600,000 CFA francs. This sum was presented as a mandatory investment for the acquisition of supposedly revolutionary products such as Sipandant, Olé coffee, or even the bio-disc, according to the head of the National Gendarmerie's Communications Division.
In return for their "investment," the victims were promised vocational training at a clandestine center, according to the investigation. During their intervention, the police discovered a house serving simultaneously as a dormitory and a classroom for new members. This discovery illustrates the scale of the organization put in place by the network's leaders to keep their victims under control.
Twenty foreign victims identified, masterminds on the run
This operation resulted in the arrest of 20 people, all of them foreign nationals and considered victims of this fraudulent scheme. According to Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, the source of the information transmitted to Seneweb, the profiles of the victims reveal the cross-border dimension of this scam: 15 Guinean nationals, three Ivorian nationals, and two Beninese nationals.
Despite the success of the operation led by the Keur Massar Regional Police, the leaders of the Qnet Infinity Millennials network managed to elude law enforcement. Investigations are underway to completely dismantle this criminal organization.
Faced with this type of fraud which proliferates by exploiting the economic and social distress of people, the national gendarmerie calls for vigilance among the population and strongly encourages citizens to report any suspicious activity of this kind by using the free numbers 124 (gendarmerie emergency number); 800 00 20 20 (dedicated line).

Qnet on attend
