Société africaine de Raffinage : Un gros bénéfice annoncé par le DG
Abib Diop, the Managing Director of the African Refining Company, has just released the company's 2025 financial results. He reported that the company achieved a profit of 39 billion CFA francs and equity reached 136 billion CFA francs. "A record since its creation," Mr. Diop proudly stated.
Established in 1961, SAR began operations on October 31, 1963, and was officially inaugurated on January 27, 1964, by Léopold Sédar Senghor, President of the Republic. Since then, the African Refining Company has been involved in supplying the Senegalese domestic market with butane gas, fuel, etc.
From 600,000 tonnes at its start, its processing capacity has now increased to 1,500,000 tonnes per year. However, to process the new Senegalese crude from the Sangomar field in the short and medium term, the company will have to make technical, technological and logistical changes.
