Campagne agricole : Des rendements exceptionnels attendus à Sedhiou (DRDR)
Rarely equaled yields are expected this year in the Sedhiou region, particularly in the peanut, cashew, maize, milk, meat and onion sectors, reports the Regional Directorate of Rural Development (DRDR).
To inform traders and consumers, producers, under the guidance of the Sedhiou Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, organized an agriculture and livestock fair. Regional technical services took the opportunity to share their expertise through panel discussions. These scientific presentations allowed stakeholders from various sectors to discuss the economic impact of their production on the development of agriculture and livestock farming.
Ousseynou Diagne, the Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce, speaks of a positive outcome. From one day at the first edition, the fair has expanded to a week this year, given the enthusiasm and interest it has generated.
