For its 11th edition, the GALSEN HIP-HOP AWARDS cultural competition took on a new dimension by expanding into other cultural fields, including cinema. Now renamed the GALSEN URBAN AWARDS, this event celebrates all expressions of Senegalese urban culture. Artists and actors were nominated in various categories to compete for the various awards presented by this cultural organization.

As for cinema, several categories of nominees have been announced.

For the BEST SCREENPLAY category, the nominated titles are:

* The Trap

* Takander

* Lalake

* Bété Bété

* Fassema

* Bakary Taximan

For the BEST SERIES category, the nominees are:

* Bété Bété

* The Trap

* Bakary Taximan

* Xaliso

* Fassema

* Lalake

Regarding the BEST ACTOR category, the nominated artists are:

* Cheikhou Gueye (Ndiaga Thiam in Bété Bété)

* Abdoulaye Diakhaté (Uncle Mansour in Key et za)

* Moussa Seck (Ndiawar Diagne in Xalisso)

* Djiby Sèye (Djiby Seye in Bakary Taximan)

* Pa Assane Thiam (Boul in Tankander)

* Serigne Ngagne (Laye Fall in Borom Keur)

As for the BEST ACTRESS category, the nominees are:

* Soumboulou Bathily (Lalaké in Lalaké)

* Aïcha Bâ (Aida Gueye in Fasséma)

* Ndèye Ndiaye (Bassine Thiam in Bété Bété)

* Bella Séne (Daro Mbaye in Bété Bété)

* Astou Diaw (Khadija Cissé in Xalisso)

* Léna Mbaye (Kiné Mbaye in Key and za)

A trophy was also created for the BEST SOUNDTRACK category. The nominees are:

To decide between these nominees, the public vote was launched this Wednesday, October 15 and will end on November 1, 2025.
