Thiès : L'Association des ouvriers et artisans veut désengorger la ville et renforcer le développement territorial à travers une approche participative
As part of an ambitious development project, covering more than 20 hectares intended to house modern workshops, housing and infrastructure adapted to the needs of actors in the informal sector, the Association of Workers and Artisans of the city of Thiès visited the Colobane Tanguer site, in the municipality of Mont-Roland (department of Thiès).
According to Abdoulaye Dieng, president of the organization, this initiative aims to provide workers with a structured and secure work environment, while promoting their economic empowerment. He emphasizes that this project, carried out in collaboration with the Mont-Rolland town hall, also aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the city of Thiès, modernize local crafts, and strengthen territorial development through a participatory approach.
He calls for support from authorities and partners to bring to fruition this project, which offers hope to hundreds of working-class families.
