Visa For Music 2025 : Rabat accueille le carrefour des musiques d’Afrique et du Moyen-Orient
The Moroccan capital will pulsate to the rhythm of world cultures from November 19 to 22, 2025, for the 12th edition of Visa For Music, which has become one of the major events for the African and Middle Eastern music industries. For four days, Rabat will be transformed into a true international platform for creation, exchange, and cultural innovation.
This edition promises to be exceptionally large, with over 500 artists and nearly 1,000 professionals from Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond. Activities will take place in several iconic Rabat venues, including the Mohammed V Theatre, the Chellah Stage, the Bahnini Hall, and the Renaissance Cinema. This setup allows the festival to be present in the heart of the city, while fostering close connections with the public.
From the moment it opened, the atmosphere was electric.
The Senegalese cultural community distinguished itself in particular, with a strong and noticeable presence. Producers, managers, artists, beatmakers, cultural journalists, administrators, and creative entrepreneurs: all mobilized to represent Senegal and strengthen its position on the African and international scene.
Among the prominent figures from Senegal were pioneer Didier Awadi, cultural figure Safouane Pindra, DJ Bara of Seneweb, very active in music communication, and Sister LB, a socially conscious artist. The delegation also included Glory, a renowned manager, Xhalil Akatsuki, a rising star of the new generation, Man G, a key player in the professional network, and Isma, not to mention several young creatives who are proudly representing their country.
Between showcases, panels, speed-meetings, professional encounters, and strategic discussions, the Senegalese dynamism has already made a strong impression. And this is only the first day: the energy promises to continue to build.
On the artistic front, over thirty live showcases are scheduled, blending traditional styles with contemporary influences. The Chellah's electronic music stage will host artists from North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, while an urban parade kicked off the festivities before the VFM Awards ceremony. The public can also enjoy free entertainment every afternoon on the esplanade of the Mohammed V Theatre.
This edition places particular emphasis on Lusophone artists from Africa—Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau—on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of their independence. Moroccan artists, meanwhile, occupy a prominent place with names such as Lotfi E., Saad Tiouly, Nashwa, and Sami Galbi, featured across various stages.
On the professional side, Visa For Music offers a series of conferences, masterclasses, and workshops, ranging from digital production and video game music to stage design and access to European funding. B2B meetings and the ExpoStand area provide professionals with a unique opportunity to forge strong partnerships and develop new networks.
With its rich programming, its openness to the world and its commitment to better representation — notably with a minimum of 30% female participation — Visa For Music 2025 confirms its status as an essential platform for African music.
For these four days, Rabat lives to the rhythm of creativity, exchange and innovation.
