Accord de cessez-le-feu Israël – Hamas : La réaction du Sénégal
The Government of Senegal has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which it believes marks a significant step forward in easing tensions in the Middle East and alleviating human suffering in the Gaza Strip.
"Senegal expresses its gratitude to the United States of America, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey for their decisive mediation, as well as to the regional and international actors involved in the conclusion of this agreement," the Senegalese state said in its press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Senegal therefore calls on all parties to strictly respect the commitments made, in a spirit of responsibility and restraint, in order to preserve trust and consolidate this dynamic of peace.
As Chair of the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, the country reaffirms its commitment to a just and lasting solution, based on international law and the peaceful coexistence of two States, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in security and dignity.
