Forum africain sur les systèmes alimentaires : Mabouba Diagne reçoit le directeur exécutif du FRLD en audience
The Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock, Dr. Mabouba Diagne, announced on X that he would receive in audience Ibrahima Cheikh Diong, Executive Director of the Loss and Damage Response Fund (FRLD).
The discussions focused on strategic issues for the future of the agricultural and livestock sector, including the impacts of climate change on agriculture, livestock and national food security; financing of the agricultural and pastoral sector in areas exposed to climatic hazards, in particular the flood zones on the banks of the Senegal River and the Anambé basin; the prospects for the implementation of the Preferlo project aimed at building a canal to drain surplus water from flooded areas to the Dieri as well as the rehabilitation of more than 28,000 ha of land.
This structuring project would contribute to strengthening food self-sufficiency, creating numerous rural jobs, but also significantly reducing poverty.
This program, including the World Bank, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Islamic Development Bank, the Global Climate Fund and other climate funds such as the FRLD, could be jointly carried out by the MASAE, the Ministry of Hydraulics and the Ministry of the Environment, with a financing scheme based on multi-donor syndication.
For Mr. Diagne, this audience provided an opportunity to explore concrete avenues of collaboration in favor of agriculture and livestock farming that are resilient in the face of climate challenges, while consolidating Senegal's efforts towards true food sovereignty.

Que notre gouvernement s'arrange pour cesser cette mendicité honteuse et recadre les ministères impliqués pour qu'ils se bougent les fesses .
