Sommet Africa Forward: Le président de la République attendu à Nairobi

The Senegalese head of state will participate in the Africa Forward Summit, scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from May 11 to 13, 2026. Bassirou Faye informed the Council of Ministers of this mission, which is part of the monitoring of integration, cooperation and partnerships.

According to the Élysée Palace, Kenya and France will co-host the "Africa Forward: Partnerships between Africa and France for Innovation and Growth" summit. This marks a major step in relations between France and the African continent, nearly ten years after President Emmanuel Macron's speech in Ouagadougou.

It is also noted that this is the first summit of its kind to be hosted and co-chaired with an Anglophone country. It reflects the robust and balanced partnerships between Africa and France.
