Turquie : Ousmane Sonko s’est entretenu avec Erdogan
Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday at the presidential palace in Ankara as part of his five-day official visit to Turkey, reports the APS special envoy. The two leaders reviewed the Republican Guard before their tête-à-tête, marking a key moment in this trip aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
Arriving in Ankara on Wednesday, Sonko, invited by Erdogan, is accompanied by a delegation including Ministers Yassine Fall (African Integration and Foreign Affairs), Abdourahmane Sarr (Economy, Planning and Cooperation) and Serigne Guèye Diop (Industry and Trade), as well as Birame Soulèye Diop (Energy, Oil and Mines), Mabouba Diagne (Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock) and Birame Diop (Armed Forces). After visiting the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Sonko will continue his visit to Istanbul for meetings with Turkish employers, contract signings and a meeting with the Senegalese community, before returning to Dakar on August 11.
