Created by RFI and supported by Mamadou Diallo, aka "Mamane," a well-known Nigerien comedian and columnist, this prize highlights rising stars of Francophone African comedy. This year, Guinea is in the spotlight with Rigel Gandhi, whose style—committed, humorous, and deeply rooted in Guinean culture—won over the jury.
"This is a source of pride and a showcase for Guinea at the continental level," reacted Rigel Gandhi, visibly moved after the announcement of his victory.
