Investissement vert : Un Africain nommé directeur exécutif adjoint du GGGI
The Green Growth Implementation Directorate at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has a new manager. Dr. Malle Fofana has been appointed Deputy Executive Director and head of the institution, Seneweb has learned. He thus becomes the first African leader to sit on the GGGI's executive team.
In this new role, Dr. Fofana will oversee GGGI’s global portfolio of nearly 300 active projects covering climate finance, policy frameworks, cities and infrastructure, food systems, energy and natural landscapes, as well as emerging areas such as carbon markets, AI and hydrogen.
It is worth recalling that in 2025, GGGI achieved institutional growth of nearly 20% amidst significant global uncertainty, and Dr. Malle Fofana played a pivotal role in this momentum. He led the global portfolio, mobilizing $4 billion in green investment commitments and supporting the adoption of 81 green growth policies in over 50 countries, while ensuring continuity during a leadership transition.
