5 Nigériens déférés à Mbour : Une fille dans un état psychique après avoir consommé un produit aphrodisiaque
Five Nigerien nationals were taken into custody last Sunday before being brought before the Mbour High Court on Monday, January 26. They are being prosecuted for illegally practicing medicine, selling pharmaceutical products without authorization, and endangering the lives of others, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
The individuals arrested are:
FGR, 49 years old, livestock farmer, BP, 32 years old, farmer, TD, 41 years old, housewife, FJB, 42 years old, housewife and DGS, 30 years old, housewife.
On Saturday, January 23, 2026, these Nigerien nationals sold aphrodisiac drugs to Ms. Ndour, a 23-year-old single woman residing in the village of Samekedji.
After consuming these substances, the victim experienced serious psychological complications.
On Sunday, January 25, the same individuals returned to the village to sell their wares again. This was already their second visit to the area to sell traditional remedies and medicines.
The village chief then alerted the Diass local brigade, which falls under the Mbour gendarmerie company, by telephone.
The police immediately went to the scene. The five suspects were apprehended and taken under heavy guard to the station with all of their merchandise.
Investigators then carried out a search of their homes located in Sindia, which led to the seizure of the remaining products found on the premises, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.
The five individuals involved were brought before the Mbour prosecutor's office on Monday, January 26. They will have to answer for their actions in court for endangering the health of a young woman by selling her dangerous and illegal substances.
