Drame à Yeumbeul-Sud : Un marchand ambulant retrouvé pendu dans un enclos sur une terrasse
A young street vendor, AF, aged 28, was found hanged in an enclosure built on the roof of a two-story building in the Layène neighborhood of Yeumbeul-Sud. This occurred on Monday, January 5, 2026, around 3:00 PM. The Yeumbeul-Sud police station, under the command of Lieutenant Sow, was notified. Upon arrival, officers found him hanging from the roof of the enclosure.
According to Seneweb sources, AF reportedly used a long cable wrapped around his neck and a wooden bench to hang himself. No apparent signs of a struggle were found on the body. The grim discovery was made by Fallou K., a 26-year-old logistics monitoring agent who was going out onto the terrace to make a phone call.
Once the initial findings were completed, the body was taken by firefighters to the morgue at the Idrissa Pouye General Hospital in Grand-Yoff for an autopsy. The public prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court was informed of the facts and an investigation was opened.
