Mbacké : Piégé pour une femme, un commerçant filmé nu et dépouillé de 2 millions F CFA sous la menace d'une arme à feu
An event worthy of a Hollywood film unfolded in Mbacké. A merchant based in Touba was blackmailed after being lured into a trap by a driver who promised him an intimate encounter with a woman. Filmed naked and threatened, he was forced to pay 2 million CFA francs.
To satisfy his libido, AL Dione, a merchant based at the Ocass market in Touba, traveled to Mbacké after a driver promised to provide him with a woman. Once in an apartment located at the Total roundabout in Mbacké, he was held captive at gunpoint.
Forced to undress, he was filmed naked with a mobile phone. His kidnapper then demanded 2,000,000 CFA francs under threat of publishing the video on the Internet.
Under duress, the shopkeeper called some acquaintances who sent him money via Wave. After transferring the said sum, the blackmailer also retrieved the 140,000 CFA francs that was in his pocket before releasing him.
The kidnapper was arrested with nearly 1.5 million
The Mbacké police station, under the command of Commissioner Alioune Fall, detained driver I. Diaw, 32 years old and residing in Touba, for the illegal collection of personal data and extortion. He was apprehended during a patrol on the night of Sunday, December 28, 2025, in possession of 1,492,000 CFA francs. According to Seneweb sources, he was unable to explain the origin of the money.
The following day, Monday, December 29, around 11 a.m., AL Dione, a trader at the Ocass market and resident of Touba, presented himself at the police station and declared that a man named I. Diaw had extorted money from him.
When questioned, he admitted to the acts but denied threatening the victim with a firearm. He stated that he only possessed a stun gun, which he had used to threaten him.
An unsuccessful search was conducted at the apartment of I. Diaw. He stated that he had disposed of the baton in an abandoned house filled with trash. A second search of the same house yielded nothing.
But the compromising video was indeed discovered by investigators on the suspect's mobile phone, which was seized with a view to being placed under seal.
The investigation is proceeding under the supervision of the public prosecutor at the Diourbel High Court, Amary Faye.
