O. Sow, a 47-year-old security guard, was remanded in custody and imprisoned at the Rebeuss Detention and Correctional Facility (MAC) for rape, incest, pedophilia, and indecent assault. According to L'Observateur, which reported the incident, the incident was revealed by his own daughter, now 20, who broke a silence of several years by filing a complaint with the Parcelles Assainies police station.
The damning testimonies of the alleged victims
According to her daughter's statements, the assaults began with groping when she was between 12 and 13 years old, before escalating into repeated rapes from the age of 14. The last act occurred eight months ago. A gynecologist's report, which revealed "old hymenal lesions and a vaginal infection," appears to confirm her statements.
The investigation also revealed another victim. The suspect's niece, now 26 years old, reports the Groupe Futur Médias daily. She testified that she was sexually abused by her uncle when she was only 9 or 10 years old.
When questioned, the security guard denied the charges, arguing that the two victims were falsely accusing him to "evade parental supervision." He was brought before the public prosecutor at the end of the legal period of his police custody, reports L'Observateur.
