THIÈS : Un charlatan héberge un enfant fugueur, le fait inhaler du "guinz" et prend 4 mois de prison ferme

The charlatan B. Fall was sentenced to four months in prison by the Thiès court. He was prosecuted for the abduction of a minor. A resident of the Diakhao neighborhood in Thiès, he was accused of sheltering the runaway boy SK, aged 15. The events date back to October 2025.

.

Having difficulties with his mother, SK ran away to live on the streets. While his family was searching for him, he was taken in by the charlatan B. Fall, who sheltered him for 15 days.

The child had been missing until the day his mother received a call from the police, who informed her of his arrest for consuming "guinz" (a type of marijuana). At the police station, she was told that her child had been caught with a man named B. Fall inhaling "guinz." The mother then filed a complaint against B. Fall for child abduction. He was remanded in custody and was tried this Monday.

In court, B. Fall denied the accusations. "This boy came to me as a fugitive. When I wanted to send him back to his parents, he refused. That's why I kept him at my house for 15 days. I never forced him to inhale 'guinz'," he defended himself.

SK stated that he ran away because he did not want to live with his mother. "I ran away to go to Touba to my father's house, but I had no money. I don't want to stay with my mother, that's why I was on the street before being taken in by B. Fall. I was there for 15 days," the child confided.

His mother explained that it was the police who called her on the night of October 29th to inform her that her son had been arrested with B. Fall while inhaling "guinz". "I learned that he was using my child for his domestic work," she revealed.

The public prosecutor noted that the defendant, B. Fall, exerts psychological influence over the child. This, he argued, explains why the boy no longer wants to return to his mother's home.

Believing the defendant guilty of the charges against him, the prosecutor requested a four-month prison sentence. The judge followed the prosecution's recommendation and sentenced B. Fall to four months in prison.
