BTP : Marieme Fall Diagne redéfinit les règles de l'art de bâtir
At 34, Marieme Fall Diagne does more than just manage construction sites; she steers investments and rebuilds lives. Founder of ECOLUX BTP and a graduate of the École Supérieure Polytechnique (ESP) in Dakar, this visionary engineer has transformed the construction industry into a digital ecosystem. A portrait of a builder who has made methodology her ultimate weapon for securing the real estate future of the diaspora and investors.

Her history with construction is first and foremost a family affair. As a teenager, fascinated by the work of her father, an entrepreneur, Marieme didn't just admire the villas that were being built: she created handcrafted models of them. Behind this gesture lay the obsession to understand how the invisible—the foundations—allowed the visible to defy time.
“The model was my first laboratory,” she confides with calm intensity. “It was there that I learned that in this profession, mistakes are unforgivable. My time at ESP then transformed this intuition into mathematical rigor, but the emotion of building remained intact.”
Engineering as a bulwark against uncertainty
By founding ECOLUX BTP ( https://ecolux-btp.com ), Marieme tackled the sector's chronic problems: opacity and a breakdown of trust. For her, the African construction industry suffered not from a lack of talent, but from a lack of a system. She therefore conceived ECOLUX not as a construction company, but as a comprehensive operator capable of structuring a project from start to finish: from strategic planning to final delivery.
Investor security begins with clear thinking. This is the objective of the ECOLUX Estimator, a tool that allows clients to compare their ambitions with their budget before the first shovel hits the ground.
"Too many construction projects are halted due to a lack of realism. The Estimator allows for responsible decision-making: adjusting surface areas or standards to guarantee that the building will be finished, compliant, and profitable."
ECOLUX Connect: The beating heart of the promise
Once the project is underway, Marieme deploys its flagship sales tool: ECOLUX Connect. This digital, real-time monitoring platform is the cornerstone of its transparency strategy. It allows clients—particularly those in the diaspora—to receive notifications, photos, videos, and reports directly on their phones.
“ECOLUX Connect is not a gadget; it’s the heart of our promise. The customer no longer has to simply ‘trust’: they can see, understand, and control their investment without intermediaries, whether they are in Dakar, Paris, or New York.”
Methodological and impactful leadership
In this male-dominated construction industry, Marieme stands out with her unwavering presence on the ground. Through her Women Builders initiative, she works to ensure that technical professions are no longer a fortress forbidden to women.
"On a construction site, concrete doesn't know if it's a woman checking its density. It simply demands to be done well. I chose to assert myself through method, not through words."
This commitment to quality extends to its projects with a strong social impact. Whether it's the "Au Cœur du Partage" orphanage or the center for the "Les Petites Gouttes" association (supporting talibés and people with albinism), ECOLUX puts the same technical rigor at the service of human dignity.
The ambition of a continental standard
Today, Marieme Fall Diagne is looking towards West Africa with a clear objective: to export this digital, responsible, and structured construction model. At 34, she proves that it's possible to reconcile a human-centered vision with cutting-edge technological execution. "We don't just deliver keys, we deliver certainty. In this industry, the most complex structure to build remains lasting trust."
