L’avertissement de Déthié Fall : “Si l'Université du Sénégal oriental n'est pas livrée en 2026…”
In Tambacounda, the Minister of Infrastructure's visit to the construction sites of the University of Eastern Senegal (USO) yesterday, Friday, revealed significant progress. According to Dethié Fall, the work is 80% complete and should be finished by October 2026. However, the Minister remains firm on the eight-month delivery deadline.
"This visit allowed us to observe the progress of the work at the University of Eastern Senegal. The work is currently 80% complete. A rate that we consider encouraging, but which requires increased mobilization to meet the deadlines. The main construction work may not be the main part of the job. We urge the company in charge of the work to accelerate the pace in order to meet the contractual commitments," says Dethié Fall.
The minister was keen to warn: "We are paving the way for the Head of State, who will be in Tambacounda to give his impressions. Therefore, we are asking the company in charge of the work to speed things up, increase working hours, and perhaps even put in night shifts and improve lighting. I will be there in October to receive a project, and nothing else. Otherwise, as you know, we will take responsibility," he concluded.
