Following his visit to the Southern Agropole, President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye traveled to Sindone, in the municipality of Adéane, to lay the foundation stone for the National-Armed Forces High School for Quality and Equity (LYNAQE) in Ziguinchor. This project, the result of a collaborative effort between the Ministries of National Education and the Armed Forces, marks a crucial step in the reform of the Senegalese education system.

The Head of State commended the remarkable work of the state services, under the Governor's authority, in bringing this infrastructure to fruition. According to him, the creation of the LYNAQE addresses a national imperative: raising the academic level of students, whose decline is currently a worrying observation.

For Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, the State's vision rests on two fundamental pillars. "The first is an imperative of quality. The decline in the level of learners is a reality. It is necessary to address this in order to build a human resource capable of carrying out the national transformation agenda and making Senegal competitive on a global scale," he stated.

The second pillar is ethical in nature, falling within the framework of the New Initiative for the Humanistic Transformation of Education (NITHE). "Providing knowledge and skills is not enough to build a model citizen. Values, virtues, and principles are necessary," the Head of State insisted.

The President of the Republic used this platform to clarify the "Nation-Army" concept associated with these high schools. It is no longer simply a matter of traditional collaboration between civilians and the military, but a deeper mission.

"This is not about the nation-army as we used to define it, but rather about arming our nation. It is about giving our youth the basic skills necessary to face current and future challenges. We want to prepare young people to take over and continue building the sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal that we want," the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces stated.

This new educational model aims to train a technically competent and morally upright elite, ready to serve the country's ambitions for sovereignty.
