THIÈS : Elle s'agrippe aux parties intimes son mari lors d'une bagarre
After a few months of marriage, septuagenarian E. Seck and his wife A. Dieng found themselves in the dock of the Thiès court to settle their differences. They are being prosecuted for mutual assault and battery.
According to reports, the young woman left the marital home following a disagreement with her husband. When she tried to return, her husband refused. A. Dieng then went to the public prosecutor, who ordered her to remain in the marital home until the judge granted the divorce.
And when the wife returned to her husband's house, a fight broke out. Old E. Seck punched his wife in the face. And to defend herself, A. Dieng grabbed her husband's genitals.
Following the fight, the woman filed a police report against her husband for assault and battery. He also filed a police report for the same offense.
In court, A. Dieng admitted to grabbing her husband's genitals and biting him on the chest. But she pleaded that it was a reflex of self-defense.
But E. Seck countered that it was the woman who attacked him first when he refused her access to the marital home.
According to A. Dieng's lawyer, E. Seck is a repeat offender and is currently on his umpteenth divorce. He claims that E. Seck uses his wealth to marry vulnerable young women and then divorces them after consummating the marriage. He has therefore demanded 5 million CFA francs in damages.
However, E. Seck's lawyer argued that his wife had orchestrated the situation to make money. He also demanded 10 million CFA francs in damages.
The public prosecutor, for his part, requested the application of the law.
Deliberated on January 5, 2025.
