Abdoulaye Maiga, Premier ministre du Mali sur l’Ayatollah Khamenei : « Il est mort en martyr… »
Malian Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maiga visited the Iranian embassy in Bamako on Thursday, March 5th. He signed the book of condolences opened at the diplomatic mission following the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
This powerful act demonstrates the Malian government's compassion for the beleaguered Islamic Republic. Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maiga stated that the Iranian Supreme Leader "died a martyr, defending the best interests of the Iranian state and people until his last breath."
His legacy as a statesman and his vision of a more just, multipolar world that respects interests and identities will forever be etched in the memory of those who fight for the independence and sovereignty of their people, the major general wrote in the book of condolences.
It is worth recalling that Mali and Iran maintain excellent relations based on diversified cooperation in the fields of health, agriculture, infrastructure and development aid.
