Chine : Qui est Mingze, la discrète fille unique du président chinois Xi Xinping ?
Earlier this summer, Chinese President Xi Xinping hosted a banquet in honor of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at Zhongnanhai, the citadel of Chinese communist power in Beijing. In a rare move, the Beijing strongman invited his only daughter, Xi Mingze, to attend the official dinner.
The Belarusian news agency BeITA, which covered the event, reports that it was the Chinese leader himself who introduced his daughter to his guest.
"Welcoming Lukashenko, Xi said: 'Dear friend, our relationship is special, that's why today we are having dinner as a family, and for the first time my daughter is having dinner with a foreign leader,'" the media outlet reported, posting some photos of the evening on its website before deleting them, likely under Beijing's orders.

Xi Jinping likes to cultivate a sense of mystery surrounding his only daughter. Mingze was born in 1992 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, where her father was secretary of the single party. Her mother is the charming Peng Liyuan, a former singer. The young "red princess" is currently 33 years old.
She holds a BA in French Language and Literature and a BA in Philosophy, obtained from Harvard in 2014.
