Colombie: mort du numéro 2 de la dissidence des FARC «Segunda Marquetalia»
The number two of the FARC dissident group "Segunda Marquetalia," the organization believed to have ordered the assassination of Colombian presidential candidate Miguel Uribe, was killed in Venezuela by a rival guerrilla group, the Colombian Defense Minister reported Monday. The Segunda Marquetalia, led by the long-time leader of the former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, Ivan Marquez, took up arms again after the signing of the 2016 peace agreement. The guerrilla group "the ELN killed Zarco Aldinever in Venezuelan territory, very close to the Colombian-Venezuelan border. The reasons are those of any cartel: the fight for drug trafficking," Minister Pedro Sanchez said at a press conference in Bogota. He did not specify when Zarco Aldinever, whose real name was José Manuel Sierra, was killed. According to the research center Insight Crime, his death occurred in early August.
