France : Les Algériens « veulent désormais nous coloniser » affirme Éric Zemmour
His rhetoric and outspokenness frequently fuel controversy in France. Éric Zemmour, leader of the far-right Reconquête party, was a guest on BFM TV in early November. While commenting on the events that have strained relations between France and Algeria, the politician accused Algerians of wanting to colonize France.
"A colonial revenge"
“The Algerian government is chartering buses and then boats to transport young Algerians to Europe, to Spain and France. This is called ‘organizing an invasion.’ Algeria has decided that France is ripe enough for colonial revenge. We colonized them for 132 years; now they want to colonize us and they are doing everything they can to make it happen,” declared Mr. Zemmour. He even went so far as to compare Algeria to “an enemy country that is attacking (France).”
It is worth recalling that relations between Paris and Algiers have been strained for several months, due to disagreements over migration issues and the arrest of the Franco-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal, who is suffering from cancer.
"We must cut off all visas, we must block family reunifications."
For Éric Zemmour, France must adopt a hard line towards Abdelmadjid Tebboune's government. "All visas must be revoked, family reunifications blocked. Money that Algerians (living in France) send to Algeria via Western Union must be blocked. If that isn't enough, the assets of Algerian dignitaries in France must be seized, and they must be prohibited from receiving medical treatment in France," suggested Éric Zemmour. These measures, he continued, must be maintained over the long term "so that they really hurt."
