Guerre au Moyen-Orient : des médias évoquent le départ du jet privé de Cristiano Ronaldo
The rumor spread like wildfire across social media within hours. Amid heightened security tensions in the Middle East, Cristiano Ronaldo's private jet reportedly left Saudi Arabia bound for Europe, sparking numerous questions about the Portuguese player's whereabouts.
According to the British tabloid The Sun, the Bombardier Global Express carrying the five-time Ballon d'Or winner took off from Riyadh for a roughly seven-hour flight to Madrid, flying over Egypt and then the Mediterranean before landing in Spain in the early hours of Tuesday morning. This news comes as the US embassy in Riyadh was reportedly targeted by drone attacks attributed to Iran.
Living in the Saudi capital with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their five children, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have made this decision as a precaution, although there is no official confirmation indicating whether he was travelling alone or with his family.
This alleged movement is part of an increasingly anxious regional climate, which is prompting many expatriates to leave the area. Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand recently described a similar situation, finding himself stranded with his family in Dubai in conditions akin to a lockdown.
However, this information should be treated with caution. According to a source cited by the Saudi daily Al-Riyadiyah, Cristiano Ronaldo is still in Saudi Arabia. In the absence of official communication from the player's entourage or his club, uncertainty remains regarding this trip and his true motivations.
