« Ils ont effacé mes cheveux » : Donald Trump furieux de sa photo à la Une du magazine Time

Following his diplomatic success in Israel and Egypt for the ceasefire in Gaza, the Republican head of state is offended by the treatment of his hair by the historic bi-monthly.

We knew he was narcissistic and particularly coquettish, and he proves it again. After a brief visit to Israel for the release of the hostages, and a stop in Egypt to mark with great fanfare the signing of the ceasefire agreement between the Jewish state and Hamas, on Monday, President Donald Trump took to the skies again to return to Washington DC. His teams had undoubtedly made the American and international press available to him on board Air Force One.

On Monday, the renowned Time magazine, which appears in print every two weeks, featured the Republican president on its cover. "His triumph," reads the headline, across the bottom left of a low-angle shot of the president gazing into the distance.

"The worst photo ever"

The author of the lead article, who covers the White House for the magazine, writes that the agreement between Israel and Hamas "could become a major achievement of Trump's second term. (…) It could also mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East." Trump rightly noted this. The cover also advertises an article on "the right leader for Israel," written by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

"Time magazine ran a relatively glowing article about me," he savors, "but then, immediately complaining, 'the accompanying photo is probably the worst ever. They 'erased' my hair, then added something that looks like a floating crown on top of my head, but an extremely small crown. Really weird!'" the billionaire writes, implying that the photo has been doctored.

And to question the reasons for this photo choice. "What are they doing, and why?", as if it were a deliberate decision to harm his image.

Hair aesthetics is a key issue for Donald Trump. Last April, the president signed an executive order requiring increased water flow, even though federal regulations limited the use of this scarce resource. "For me, I like to take a good shower to take care of my beautiful hair," he said during the signing session in the Oval Office. "I have to stay in the shower for 15 minutes until it's wet."
