Ziguinchor : un comité de gestion des plaintes du programme de compétitivité de l'agriculture et de l'élevage mis en place
Stakeholders in agriculture and livestock farming, along with technical services, were mobilized this Friday for a dual meeting. The presentation of the national integrated livestock development program in Senegal—a program that operates across all regions of Senegal and throughout all animal value chains—and the establishment of the complaints management committee for the agriculture and livestock competitiveness program.

Dr. Dame Sow, regional coordinator of the National Integrated Livestock Development Program in Senegal (PNDIES) for Ziguinchor, commended the mobilization of stakeholders in the Ziguinchor region. Dr. Sow emphasized the implementation of planned activities not only within the region but also in the wider Casamance region, in accordance with the directives of the highest authorities.
Adama Ndoye, the environmental safeguards manager of the agriculture and livestock competitiveness program (PCAE), referring to the installation of the complaints mediation committee for these two programs, explains that it is good to have a program and to install a complaints management mechanism.

However, he believes it is necessary to move towards rationalization, harmonization, and pooling of efforts. This rationalization and pooling of efforts will allow for the creation of a joint committee and mechanism for managing complaints, within the framework of the implementation of the agricultural and livestock competitiveness program, Adama Ndoye responded.
Alsény Bangoura, Deputy Governor in charge of development, who chaired the meeting, praised the stated commitment to involving all local stakeholders in the effective implementation of public policies, particularly in the livestock sector. "Livestock farming, it should be remembered, is an essential component of our regional economy and a factor in the social stability of many communities. It is a source of income, food security, and social cohesion," stated the Deputy Governor in charge of development.
This national program for integrated livestock development in Senegal (PNDIES) aims to strengthen efforts for a sustainable modernization of the sector through priority areas which focus on animal health, genetic improvement, securing pastoral land and especially the development of basic infrastructure, the administrative authority informed.

Alsény Bangoura, deputy governor in charge of development, further stated that the introduction of complaint management mechanisms within this program represents a significant step forward in inclusive governance, transparency, and accountability in project implementation.
