Sia : son ex-mari lui demande une pension alimentaire de plus de 250.000 dollars par mois

In the midst of divorce proceedings, the ex-husband of singer Sia is demanding that the singer of the hit "Chandelier" pay him six-figure monthly alimony, claiming that he is unemployed and has no income.

An astronomical sum. After two years together, singer Sia and her second husband, Daniel Bernard, are in the midst of a divorce. While the two parties have yet to sign an agreement, Daniel Bernard is demanding spousal support from the singer of the hit song "Chandelier." And not just any support.

According to TMZ, which was able to review the documents, he is reportedly asking the Australian singer-songwriter and director to pay him $250,856, or just over €215,000 per month. To justify his request, he cited their standard of living prior to their separation. He noted that their monthly expenses were between $400,000 and $500,000, noting that the couple lived in an 880 m² villa in Los Angeles and benefited from numerous services, including a butler, several chefs, and a masseuse.

No income currently

Daniel Bernard also highlighted his personal situation. He noted that he has been unemployed since last April and without a salary since Sia stopped funding their joint venture, Modern Medicine. For her part, according to court documents, the singer is considering not paying alimony to her second husband.

In addition to this astronomical alimony, Daniel Bernard is also asking the artist to cover his legal fees of at least $300,000, to which is added an additional $200,000 for the fees and costs of forensic accounting, the American media was able to note.

As a reminder, Sia officially filed for divorce on March 18th citing "irreconcilable differences." Court documents revealed at the time that the former couple had secretly welcomed a baby named Somersault Wonder Bernard a year earlier. Sia requested custody of the child, while granting visitation rights to her ex-husband. The couple married in May 2023.

C’est le droit qui le dit. Malheureusement.
