Her story has left an indelible mark on America. Aileen Wuornos, the notorious serial killer from Michigan, murdered six men between 1989 and 1990. The unfortunate victims were shot at point-blank range by the woman Netflix dubbed the "Death Lady" in its documentary.
This Monday, TMZ reports that personal items worn by Wuornos during his arrest and execution will be auctioned this week on the True Crime Collective website.
A Bible among the objects
Among these personal effects are autographed LA Gear sneakers she was wearing when she was arrested, the county jail robe she was given shortly after her arrest, the flip-flops she wore in her cell until her execution by lethal injection in 2002, her personal Bible containing hundreds of handwritten notes and highlighted passages, as well as the crucifix necklace she wore during her execution.
