Will Smith visé par une plainte pour harcèlement sexuel et licenciement abusif
The year 2026 opens with a major legal controversy for Will Smith. The Hollywood star is the target of a lawsuit filed by violinist Brian King Joseph. The musician accuses the actor of sexual harassment and of firing him without cause after he reported an intrusion into his hotel room. For his part, the actor categorically denies these allegations.
Accusations of predatory behavior
According to People magazine, the events allegedly took place during the actor's "Based on a True Story" tour. Brian King Joseph claims he was recruited by Will Smith in November 2024, after a performance in San Diego.
In his complaint, the violinist alleges that the actor "deliberately cultivated a privileged relationship" in order to obtain sexual favors. He cites, in particular, ambiguous remarks allegedly made by the star, assuring him that they shared a "special bond" that he had with no one else.
The breaking point occurs in March 2025, during a stop on the tour in Las Vegas. Brian King Joseph recounts that after misplacing and then finding his hotel room key, he discovered that someone had broken into his private space. He claims to have found wipes, antiviral medication, and a handwritten note that read: "Brian, I'll be back, just you and me," accompanied by a drawing of a heart.
Worried, the musician alerted security and the production team. According to his account, the reaction was immediate: he was fired the very next day, his employers accusing him of having orchestrated a staged event and fabricated the intrusion.
Beyond the financial loss of his job, Brian King Joseph emphasizes the psychological impact of this affair. He states that he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and is seeking damages for the lasting effects.
For now, Will Smith's camp rejects all of these accusations, suggesting an intense legal battle in the months to come.
