Affaire Mame Dior : deux actrices déférées, trois suspectes en fuite
The case, revealed by Seneweb, is shaking up the Senegalese entertainment industry. This theft case, involving five people, has already led to the arrest of two television personalities: Bigué Diop, also known as Mame Dior in the series "Bété-Bété," and Déguène Ndiaye, from the show "Mensonges entre copines" (Lies Between Friends). Both were brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office on Thursday.
According to L'Observateur, in its edition of Friday, March 27, three other suspects are actively being sought by the gendarmerie of the Free Zone.
It all began in December 2025 in Morocco, during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). While Senegal's victory offered a euphoric interlude for this group of female fans, their return to Dakar quickly turned into a settling of scores. Exchanges in a private WhatsApp group ignited the conflict: Bigué Diop allegedly called Fatima Goumbala, who lives in Canada, a "loose woman." In response, Goumbala accused the actress of stealing a significant sum of money from her during their time together, thus opening a double legal battle involving both defamation and theft charges.
The case took a decisive turn when Bigué Diop admitted to stealing 500,000 FCFA from his travel companion's room. While the fate of the two actresses now rests with Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, the gendarmerie is continuing its investigation to find the three other women involved.
