Affaire Pape Cheikh Diallo et Cie : 28 mandats de dépôt décernés
The sprawling investigation conducted by the Keur Massar Research Brigade (BR) in the so-called "Pape Cheikh Diallo and Co." case has just reached a new legal stage. The judge of the first chamber of the Pikine-Guédiawaye court has remanded four new suspects in custody, including the TikToker Saliou Mbaye, alias Zale Mbaye, and an employee of Mame Ndiaye Savon, AA Diop, known as "Dabakh".
The quartet is being prosecuted for criminal association, unnatural acts, intentional transmission of HIV/AIDS, endangering the lives of others, money laundering and complicity in offering or supplying drugs.
These new arrests bring the total number of detention orders issued by the investigating magistrate since the start of this case to 28. However, only one judicial supervision order has been granted so far, that of RTS reporter Pape Biram Bigué Ndiaye, reports Libération.
While the judge has now begun the first substantive hearings, the gendarmerie's investigations continue to identify other possible ramifications across the country, the same source says.
